Introduction to Northern Government

Introduction to Northern Government is for both people new to the North and lifelong residents. Through readings, audio, video and online activities, learners come to understand the history, powers and structure of federal, territorial and municipal government in the North, and the relationships between levels of government. Topics include the government of Canada, the territorial government, Aboriginal people of Canada, Inuit land claims, and Nunavut and community government.
